Morocco Earthquake: How to Help those Affected

The earthquake was the biggest to hit Morocco in at least 120 years. More than 2,800 people have now been confirmed killed, with many more injured, and the UN estimates that at least 300,000 people are in need of aid.

Here is how we can help:

  1. Islamic Relief aid workers in Morocco began delivering blankets and mattresses to survivors in remote mountainous areas who are still sleeping outside after the devastating earthquake. to donate click here https://www.islamicreliefcanada.org/shop/morocco-earthquake-emergency-1352

  2. The Red Cross Red Crescent is working to get help to those impacted by the earthquake in Morocco as quickly as possible. Money raised will enable the Red Cross Red Crescent to provide immediate relief, recovery efforts, and resilience and preparedness activities for future events in impacted and surrounding areas. Canadians wishing to make a donation to the Morocco Earthquake Appeal can do so online at redcross.ca

  3. UNICEF is providing life-saving assistance to children and families in urgent need of shelter, safe water, nutrition support, medical care and protection. Your donation helps UNICEF stay at the ready to provide emergency support for children and their families.https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/canadian-unicef-committee/campaign/support-earthquakes-in-morocco/
